Business English Tutor - Based in Lyon

I’m Angus Munro, a Scottish English tutor now living in France. I specialise in helping professionals improve their Business English with clear, targeted lessons built around real-world communication.

Before teaching, I spent over 20 years working in Business Sales, Account Management, and Customer Service. That experience shaped how I teach today—practical, focused, and built on the real needs of people working in demanding roles.

A little about me.

In March 2024 I traded the delicacy of Scottish haggis for French andouillette, malt whisky for pastis and arrived in the wonderful city of Lyon.

When I’m not working I love to stay active so you’ll find me out cycling in the beautiful Rhône countryside or running around the streets of the city. I have a passion for history, geography and I love sampling the endless varieties of French cheeses that are available.

I hold a Level 5 TEFL qualification along with two communication diplomas. I work with professionals across industries who need English to perform, progress, and lead in their careers.

My style is patient, supportive, and direct. I’ll help you sharpen your communication skills, improve fluency, pronunciation and feel more confident using English in any professional setting.
